Tirnavos Imports was founded in Melbourne in 1994 by Archie Tsoukras. As a liquor store owner Archie struggled to find Greek products in the Australian market so he decided to start importing Greek Ouzo from his hometown of Tyrnavos Greece unloading his first containers from the back of his liquor shop.

In 2020 Tirnavos Imports rebranded to Hellenic Wine & Spirits and remains family owned.

Today Hellenic Wine & Spirits is a Dynamic innovative import company that specialises in the importation and distribution of Greek Wines and Greek Spirits Greek beers and Greek Food Products from the most sought out after regions of Greece dealing directly with manufacturers and producers travelling abroad every year and continuing to bring into the country the finest products that Greece has to offer.
